Hi, I'm Bruno Zwarg.
I’m an exercise physiologist, researcher, university professor, and soccer performance coach with over 20 years of experience developing athletes across multiple sports and disciplines — from Brazil to Southern California.
Soccer and science have always been part of my DNA. To me, the game has never been just about running after a ball — there has always been a logic behind every movement. That curiosity drove me deep into the books, and never let me leave.
Academic Background
I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Physical Education from UNIMEP (Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba) in Brazil, with postgraduate specializations in Exercise Physiology, Sports Management & Marketing, and Physical Activity for Special Populations. My research has been published in scientific journals and cited in university theses and monographs across Brazil.
I taught Human Anatomy and Personal Training at UCDB (Universidade Católica Dom Bosco) and served as a substitute Exercise Physiology professor at UFMS (Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul). I have also been a speaker at postgraduate courses in Exercise Physiology, Strength Training for Special Populations, Sports Training, and the Neuro-Immune-Endocrine System.
Additionally, Bruno served as a Volunteer Researcher at the University Hospital of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), working with obese patients before and after bariatric surgery — applying exercise science to special populations in a clinical setting. This experience directly informed his specialization in Physical Activity for Special Populations.

A Father. A Coach. A Witness.
But theory only matters when it works under pressure. The most powerful part of my education happened off the field — following my son Rômulo Zwarg's journey from his first youth academy to professional soccer across Brazil, Chile, and Mexico.
Rômulo's career took him through Desportivo Brasil and Cruzeiro's youth system, then into professional football with CD La Serena in Chile, Juventude and Athletic Club in Brazil, Internacional (RS), and ultimately Tigres UANL in Liga MX — one of the top leagues in North America.
Following that trajectory gave me a perspective no textbook can teach. I understand exactly what it takes to build a professional career — physically, mentally, and technically — at every stage of development.
Today
As a Physical Education teacher and performance coach here in Orange County, my mission is clear: to bring the same science, tools, and methods used by professional clubs to the youth athletes in our community. We use timing gates, jump platforms, and objective data to replace guesswork with precision.
Whether training an 8-year-old discovering the game or preparing a college-bound athlete for recruitment, my goal is always the same — we don't just train to break a sweat. We train with intelligence.
